interesting the number of votes for Depeche mode
especially when considering where they came from
Basildon, Essex is a pimple on the arsehole of Britain, overwhelmingly populated by these nasty little blighters:

probably not the "best bands ever" but those who influenced me the most
early jamiroquai (traveling without moving included... bassists know what I'm talking about

I saw Prince last Saturday at the O2 and he was rubbish.
My vote for best band would have to go to the Motown in house band - the one with the funk brothers. Too many classics.
