can't believe - does reason really sound better than live?

Yo, I just saw this posting...I am not going to read thru it b/c it's already at 6 pages and you may have already found the solution.
I went thru this for about 3 days and couldn't figure it out UNTIL I realized that I was using Reaktor at 48k, recording Live at 44k. Live will MONITOR at whatever kHz you're putting thru it but will record and playback at project tempo. (located in Options>Prefs>Audio tab>In/Out Sample Rate)
