working fine here. Live 8.01 OSX 10.5.6. VST and AU.

Whenever you have a problem with Live not seeing aplig-in, just trash live's preferences file.

Er this trashing the preferences file could be exactly what im looking for, Im having problems with my audio card and was wanting live to look at it again from afresh...... where is the file located ?

On a mac, it's user/library/preferences/ableton/live 8.01/preferences.cfg

Don't know about on PC, maybe in Document & Settings?

Hey on windows vista its a hidden folder in user/appdata/roaming/ableton - unfortunately didnt do the trick for my problem though i only deleted the preference.cfg files, maybe i should have done the whole folders...?
