it's not an assumption.

fascism and communism do have the same structures and principles, only difference is the colour of the flag and language...

both are dictatoric, control press no freedom of speech, they kill and imprison people who think or dare to talk different, you think because a communist claims he is a 'friend' of the nations and a fascist not makes them essentially different? well wake up!

and for the record i lived 5 years in slovakia (ex communist block) in bratislava 2 hours by car from budapest (i have many hungarian, czech, polish and slovak friends, my girlfriend is half hungarian half slovak, ask her about it!)

and over half of my family lived in the GDR (some of them being imprisoned for environmental awareness campaigns...

and i have been at least once a week in the GDR (i was in 'special' circumstances to be able to do that, usually it was not possible so often, max something like 1 or 2 times a year to visit family for maximal 24 hours!!!)

the list goes on... most of the structures and principles of fascism, slovakia was one of the biggest collaborators of hitler, selling jews for hard valuta to the german industry, etc... are the same...

both systems are totally intolerant and use violence and total control of media as a tool for power... as i said the flag they cary is different and the language they use, the rest absolutely not.

besides we still 'suffer', in germany from that shit, first the nazis now the commies... absolute same crap. and in terms of many political views not that much apart either as they always like to convince.

one more, becaue that gets me heated...

ever been to ausschwitz or sachsenhauen...??? well you can visit it any day, and then go to the counterpart the stasi prison in berlin hohenschoenhausen...

but it's both bad, in the one or other way, it's bad for people and both systems do cripple people in every sense! that much is for sure.
