midi preview?
midi preview?
It'd be nice if I could configure a generic instrument to use that plays midi clips selected in the preview pane.
Is that possible (or just dumb)?
EDIT: yay! It's in!

any info about a scene properties, I mean something in the bottom pane that will let you specify the tempo of the scene (and not choose between name or tempo), enable tempo automation patterns (or mixers automation: one master pattren tu rule them all), and having follow on action on scene???
+have you seen somthing like "any else" as a follow on action, triggering any clip of the group except the one that is playing??

No, not more then that the new offset of clip start and end will, I guess, influence on the follow actions.Silicon/Silicium wrote: +have you seen somthing like "any else" as a follow on action, triggering any clip of the group except the one that is playing??
Seems the further developement of f.a. is not a part of Live 5 but I would think they put that in the basket for some things to come.
And I agree, the tempo and tempo signature handling should be updated.
Just to display a 4/7 as an option may take us elsewhere...
Having to name scenes for a tempo is like an eastern egg, not really a serious approach to the subject.

Will this be possible:
1. Ability to control two ore more parameters from one controller!
(This is highly needed amongst my fellow performing friends. Say you will play 4 songs live from the same project, and youd like to use the same button on different things in each track, ie filter, effect send, pitch etc. We use midi ox now.)
2. Tempo envelopes per sceene!
(I work with liquid time frames, and need to be able to trigger tempo ENVELOPES, and not just static tempo change like the sceenes work now.)

These are exactly the ones on the top of my list also!ze2be wrote:Will this be possible:

i'm with you mate. config keys are MUST!supster wrote:guys, ask simple questions that they can answer. we have a wishlist forumie:
Q: Do we have user configurable key bindings yet?
i really have a hard time working in arrengement view (even after four years of usage). workflow in ACID and Vegas are by far better than in Live. quick and easy fade in & out, s for split, v for volume, p for pan... simple... quick... you said it yourself, Robert...

Look at Tracktion 2s key-mappings! Fullscreen config!
Ok Ok enuff of the defacto last minute feature wish list.....
I have a decent, easy to answer question.
Does the Latency compensation work with and without "Monitor Through Live"?
i.e. Can you set a Xms delay on a track, monitor the live input, via effects,
(of course the compensation isn't included during monitoring as Live isn't a
time-machine) yet when you record the start of the recording is delayed as
per the compensation amount?

Did you install the Digidesign asio/wdm drivers?sweetjesus wrote:it finds my internal soundcard but not the MBOX... I think it only works for "WDM" devices...louZ wrote:Asio4All?sweetjesus wrote:multiple soundcards?
I use an MBOX and would love to know if Live5 will let me prelisten with the internal soundcard so I don't have to take myLayla24 out with me...
