Oh, not even LIve 9 does not have zoom bound to mouse scroll wheel/keyboard shortcuts? Wow. I guess it's even too much to ask to have a gesture for trackpads...

Since we can move around with Ctrl+Alt+Left Click I'd suggest adding a similar zoom function to Ctrl+Alt+Right click.

Scroll wheel would work too but in my mind the above suggestion would be better...?

...and yes, I have no idea how we can't zoom easier still after all these years. Good navigation is a big deal.

ANde then some mouse have horizontal navigation, obviously doesnt work with live, that could also be usefull to use.

Maybe we should start a petition for this feature?

To be honest, I'd love to be able to let's say shift + left click anywhere in my arrangement to start playing from that point as opposed to finding that small line up above everything to just play from certain points.

Fix basic navigation, please.

To enable this feature I use X-Mouse Button Control for Windows or USB Overdrive for Mac. I can't use Ableton without scrollwheel zooming.

Yea if ableton doesnt enable the features I want I just enable them myself instead of waiting around. I use a gaming mouse customized with everything i do on it.. Zoom, Cut, Copy, Slice, Pencil on/off etc.. this way I can just roll back in my chair and i dont even need a keyboard lol, pretty pimp

The more I think about it, the more Live 9 was a massive dud of an upgrade (unless you get Push). Right now this software is lacking so many features which should be a given.

Agreed. Literally every program I use EXCEPT Live 9 supports scroll wheel, etc.

Push is the only reason I upgraded. Ableton will have to offer quite a bit of improvements to ever get my money again.

Holy crap this request for an EXTREMELY BASIC feature has existed since 2005. It's 2013 and the latest version of Live still inexplicably neglects a function (it's too basic to be called a feature) found in every DAW ever. How hard can it be to implement this, guys? C'mon!

Even the Gimp and Inkscape support scroll wheel zooming. They are open source softwares...

I can't believe Ableton 9 failed to address this glaring issue. Like others have said, it's so basic it's almost spiteful for them to ignore it. Going back to Logic X for now. Too many senseless hoops to jump through in Ableton's work flow (no ability to edit multiple midi regions, no reasignable hot keys, scroll to zoom missing, etc.).

Pretty disgusting that this & changing the values of parameters beneath the mouse cursor with the scrollwheel is still missing.

Please Ableton do something! I'm always going back to Cubase just because of the mouse wheel function
