WACOM support
after using notebook with touchscreen, I want more than just wacom\touch support. I want multi-touch support

seems like wacom users are still ignored by Ableton, while things like "tablet pc" and "multi-touch" are nothing really new.

Yep, one of the guys posted in one of these wacom threads a while back (close to a year ago?) and for a fleeting moment we had some hope. There was even some talk of possibly seeing it in a version 7 point upgrade.
As time goes on with no good news it is hard not to feel ignored and frustrated.
Just last week I had my "finger on the trigger" so to speak about upgrading to version 7. I was finally considering upgrading to the suite but the only reason I didn't is the lack of tablet support. I don't need the features and instruments in Live 7, I just want them. "Want" is not enough to make me drop the cash when something so basic as tablet support has been consistently overlooked for so long.
Also, this late in the year I may has well just wait to see what version 8 will offer. If it includes tablet support I'm there.

wondering if that was just a slip of the tongue since the Abes never say or promise anything..smutek wrote:Yep, one of the guys posted in one of these wacom threads a while back (close to a year ago?) and for a fleeting moment we had some hope. either way I'm pretty disappointed..
maybe if the user demand was a little bit bigger they wouldn't have ignored us for so long..
Hello Jimmy,
we are already working on a solution, but at this stage it is too early
to say when and how this will be implemented. I think it should be
possible to find at least a temporary solution in the foreseeable future
- maybe in one of the later Live 7 updates.
Best regards,

So.... ableton. Any progress on this?

if Live 8 will not support tablet and touch.. well, then it ruins all the excitement.

I agree. Live 8 is the first release I've been really excited about since Live 4. (sorry, I'm just a boring person)
I'm stoked about it, I appreciate all of the hard work that has gone into it (and every other release) and I am planning on selling the kitchen sink to finance buying it.
That said, Ableton, please do something to make this happen. I work every day for the past 5 years using a tablet and I have found it to be such a better input device. (especially now that I have a Cintiq)
It's all about work flow for us, using tablets really speeds up our workflow. And many of us have foudn that this applies not only to graphics programs, but to nearly any other program we use (such as ableton).
Most of us aren't asking for anything deep, crazy, insane or ground breaking. Just the ability to adjust a parameter with our pens. To use them the way they were meant to be used.
For a lot of us our tablets have replaced our mice.
please Ableton, don't forget about us.
