why not upgrade from 5 to 7? aside from the racks and some cut copy duplicate features in 6 do you feel we'd be at a disadvantage over say, someone like Hoffman or Forge (which I'm already at a disadvantage because those guys are ballers - Forge was featured in the Ballers R Us online mag as Baller of the Week)

If you activate Live 6 between October 07 to Jan 2008- you get free update to L7.
so L5----> L7 should be $80, as long as you first buy L6 and activate...
but you may want to wait a bit until the Abes post their edu prices for the Ableton suite or instruments- if you plan on getting any of the extra bells and whistles.
