in all the areas that Vestax device got it so wrong this device gets it so right.
I agree about the crossfader / start/stop issue, but other than that - this is the controller I think every Live user has been asking for.
now to ebay my belongings off so I can afford one!

I can't read 10 pages right now, but I have to ask - how many people have had issues with their Akai MIDI controllers with Live previously to this? How has Akai handled it?
Hopefully, with Ableton's name on the unit, Akai will take a little more responsibility so far as this item goes, but what about the rest of us who bought their MIDI controllers?
I don't want to be a dick, but it looks like everyone is jumping up and down for this, when every other Akai controller thread in here is someone complaining about Akai leaving them out to dry on customer service...

So I'm in Egypt at the moment. On holiday with the family.
Brought the laptop so I could stay in touch with friends and family. Maybe do some work. The Wi-Fi on the hotel is slow. Real slow.
So, having some coffee right now, playing cards with my wife and daughter. Just told the missus I might have to check the web a couple of times today - there's this music event going on. Maybe some announcements to be made.
Now she's asking me what the big grin on my face is about.

Trying to explain. This'll be an exciting time. I'm very curious about Max for Live and the APC40.
Very.
Very.
Very.

@last man on earth: Wild speculation and conjecture are the theme today! Let the bug-ridden reality wait a little...

Never had any problems with mine; there's always been user-based support when I've needed it.
The APC looks choffin' marvelous, it does!

Finally, the nicest looking (and no doubt functioning) controlleer for Live yet.
Question, who here would have guessed that Akai would be the ones to make this controller?
Not me!

Just skimmed through the info pages at Akai's website, and not once
have they used either of the words "motorised" or "endless".
WHYYYYYYYYY?!
