I was just answering on behalf of Subfunk...
SubFunk wrote:one thing i don't see any mention of is, and that would be crucial for live performance and dj-ing, if you can 'time shift / beat match' [not shure what the correct name is of what i mean] on the fly manually, this was not possible without crackles before... you know those little corrections like touching / break / accelerate the platter...
human user groove instead of programmed automated stuff.
...I think that was closer to the Global nudge behaviour...?
i might be not able to express propperly what i mean... nudge has absolut nothing to do with it.
basically it's similar [in effect] then being able to change the track delay compensation up and down while live is running for at least a max. value of + - 3-5% at any give time manually... up and down as you like without crackles, when you use the track delay compensation it crackles like hell. just like the effect of touching a turntable platter [up or down] while they run in sync.
and in ideal to such an amount that you can stop a clip like that or speed it up to let's say 280bpm. triggered via midi velocity sensitive...!!!
that would sell me DJ-ing with it.
and a warp function on the fly. that works instantly.
probably difficult to achieve, that is why Traktor still is my weapon of choice... for DJ-ing only. or is that possible with 8, is 8 dead stable?
i would be happy if yes.
that would open a whole new dimension of playing LIVE my own stuff with it as well... yum.

^ yeah, you can do that with the Global Tempo Nudge buttons introduced in L7, but as I mentioned they're only global not per track, so no good for you... yet.

well, i think the extensions like in the operator or a groovy-sexy thing for your midi clips are quite cool BUT in my opinion its just amazing that they work over things for smart little details.
the online thingy sounds cool, the (hopefully) gained flexibility with max/msp (though i wished it had been pd instead) but i hope they really make things so much better and cant hardly wait to see a beta of all that
too the apc40 sounds like a very interesting story seen a lot controllers but none looked that "liveish". and they not just dropped a bomb here it HIT!! ableton meanwhile has a mac alike behaviour how they present theirselves and how they make people sick because they just cant wait to consume all their products because they are so goddarned cool and very handy. i fear this development but i have to admit i totally enjoy it too! those are some great announcements.
