a place frequented by
un-racist artists ?
but Tone Deft made it right, and I/we shouldn't continue this thread.

Like what? What's the difference between recording piano/guitar in Live as opposed to Cubase/Logic. At the end of the day, the quality is going to depend on the user/musician.
Editing... my friend. you have a thousand more editing functions in cubase, for example.
Live is very limited in this area.
MBP M1 Max 64 GB Ram, OSX 15.7.4
Live 10.1.43 Suite
Live 11.3.35
Live 12.3.6
Interface : RME Fireface UCX

For a main DAW, there are too many better softwares out there.
thank you lapieuvre...you are the only one that gave me a straight answer. why it took over 120 posts to get a straight answer? sure tells me alot about this place.
heh. i won't mention what it tells *us* about you that you've for some reason decided to go through this forum's archives and respond, in a couple words each time, to numerous posts dating from 2002 and 2003....but hey, maybe a 6 year late comment will still be useful to some.

cperezzz wrote:can anyone here tell me what professional artist, producer (i'm talking A-LIST caliber professional) uses LIVE as their main DAW,
Yea me. CSI? You watch it? You hear me. You'll continue to hear me in watching reruns if you watch the series. I won't go down to your level of not very "rice" ha ha. English is my second language (actually third) and I try hard to type and speak it. You made a funny joke about Chinese language gap. Thats ok. Just want you to know that professional musicians like myself use Live as main DAW only. To answer your op. Tons of outboard and plugins but Live only DAW.
Sincerely,
Chang

maybe because this was the answer you wanted to hear all the time and so you ignored all previous answers?
sure tells us alot about your personality.

I like this kind of topics at the end of a working day, it re-gives me the smile (yes, my work does not please me so much).
really fun. refreshing.
well, I hope cperezzz did the same on cubase and logic forums, so as cubase and logic's forums users can benefit from this fresh and recreative topic!
cheers to all
