I feel like no matter what kind of gear Ill get in the future, there will always be a place for the octatrack. Its a suitable companion for everything and a great standalone piece of gear. Im curious about the circuit too, but it will be an addition, not a replacement for the OT.

Ended up getting the Circuit finally, just arrived today. Only used it a couple hours, and already I've written 3 new albums, 2 new live sets, and cured world hunger.
Sorta.
Really liking the Circuit though, it's that interesting mix of easy to use but easy to get lost exploring in too. Kind of reminds me of the OP-1 in that way, you know how to use it, but you don't always know what you'll end up with. I would have happily traded a global sidechain for two more synth parts, but that's dreaming I know.
The Isotonik editor works nice too. Most of the sounds are pretty nice, only about 15-20% I want to tweak to fit my style more and that's easy enough with the editor. The drum sounds are mostly well chosen, though only 4 chh and 4 ohh feels stingy when you have 8 other samples of rather weird percussion instruments like triangle and cowbell.
Full review coming in a couple days.
