Ah - day four and still without the shit.
Been away, slept in tent at a music festival, techno, avantegarde.
Beer, smokers all around and no sleep until 3 in the morning, but it was fun and I didn't get the hard abstinence.
I'm proud of myself and of the helping friends here!

isnt that for carpal tunnel as well...
Bump - I may have a carpal tunnel problem, my little and ring finger on the right hand are a bit numb. Can you confirm b3 for that?
Interesteing that B3 is structurally near to nicotine:
Vitamin B3 - niacin, niacinamide, nicotinic acid - information page
Niacin also called nicotinic acid, niacinamide or nicotinic acid and referred to as vitamin B 3, which can be manufactured by the body. Niacin is derived from two compounds - nicotinic acid and niacinamide.
vitamin,B3,niacin
Vitamin B3 - niacin - is required for
Vitamin B3 is required for cell respiration, helps in the release of energy and metabolism of carbohydrates, fats, and proteins, proper circulation and healthy skin, functioning of the nervous system, and normal secretion of bile and stomach fluids. It is used in the synthesis of sex hormones, treating schizophrenia and other mental illnesses, and a memory-enhancer.
Nicotinic acid (but not nicotinamide) given in drug dosage improves the blood cholesterol profile, and has been used to clear the body of organic poisons, such as certain insecticides. People report more mental alertness when this vitamin is in sufficient supply.
Deficiency of vitamin B3
A deficiency may cause pellagra, the classic niacin deficiency disease, and is characterized by bilateral dermatitis, diarrhea, and dementia.
A shortage of niacin may be indicated with symptoms such as canker sores, depression, diarrhea, dizziness, fatigue, halitosis, headaches, indigestion, insomnia, limb pains, loss of appetite, low blood sugar, muscular weakness, skin eruptions, and inflammation.

HA HA! great box ashley! Nice job.
Conny, I was beginning to worry about you! You had not checked in. Glad you enjoyed the festival.
It is definitely getting easier after day 3. I am just sure to have gum in my car for wheni am driving and I will need to get some gum for my desk at home, it feels the strangest sittig there without a smoke. Gum helps in the car so I assume it will help at home in the studio as well.
Day 5, and $30.00 saved towards the upgrade so far.

Smutek - glad to hear you are still in the road.
I don't use any gum etc (yet). Ginger and horse raddish!
And yesterday and today my new hunger and apetite started haunting me - will go fat if this continues!
But this evening extremy tired...

Guys, I'm franckly glad to read your posts as well. I was for some reason worried not to hear about you.
One of the reason is, as I still smoke today, your decision makes me want to join as well, as I'm fed up with that habit that drives me nuts.
The thing is I'm working now and for ten more days on a film, composing music and mixing the whole thing, very hard work. So I don't feel I would have the strength right now to quit. It wouls be a good occasion though.
Sounds a bit silly, but you give me a lot of hope. So I plan to join you as soon as I'm finished with the job. You'll be in day 15 or something by then, hopefully I'll get your support.
That's the strangiest thing I've seen on the internet....
Keep being straight and strong, see you soon on the same boat !
Kind regards,
amo

My psycho insights says me, you should not wait for the job to be finished, you should choose a date right now, making it a decision here, where you feel the urge to got for it.
Then you'll know it's 7,6,5 etc days left - the day zero is already there, waiting for you to arive in time.
You may even find youself smoking less when you know it will soon be over with.

Hey conny,

The first rule of LiveClub....
I see it now... Robert Henke in a filthy basement squaring up to the CEO of Philip Morris. Of course the PM guy is so weak from all the fags he smoked that he can't keep up and Robert kicks his arse.
Hey jbible I think we already are in a cult based around Live...
heehee
I love it -- I'm obviously in as a real hardcore Live fanboi.
Incidentally I believe I read that one of the newer CEOs of one of the huge tobacco companies (might be Philip Morris) is a NONSMOKER. Check that one out.
Part of how I justified the 5 upgrade was giving up alcohol. Fortunately for me it's easy. Good wine and cognac is actually very reasonable here in Calif, but somehow I'm doing OK...
Love the Abes offer to smutek! No cheating now though...

You're right conny, at least my psycho insights tell me so... I'll make a decision during the night, try to dream it to make it stronger....
Thanks a lot.

That's a hard one IMHO.
Think I got some special alco receptors with my genes - I don't need much but I need it often...
Well then, one thing at a time, so maybe...
