Re: music beta testing - previewing upcoming CD release
People who like stuff in vein of Small Good Thing's Slim Westerns or Ry Cooder atmospherics will probably groove to Per's set. Quite excellent work.Per Boysen wrote:And is there a relevant "musical style"
to file it under? We're open to any suggestions.
The beta listening page is to be found at http://www.looproom.com/p2p

Re: Songs
Great vocals!!! Nice arrangements with carried out with style. Can't stand to much wailing that kills the song. This is a good balance. Keep up that good work!2lips wrote:http://www.skillsofortega.com/music.html

Thank you kindly, I'll have another track up there this weekend.cyclyk wrote:Hat > what you've done is quite interesting
Bravo
I've listened to most of the mp3's posted in the past few pages, incredible stuff! Per, your stuff is rather unusual but in the best of ways, very clever and interesting, I really dig it. Alex, you've re-defined 'minimalism', your sounds are beautiful, may I ask what's in your sonic arsenal? Inspiring thread, very cool...

Hat,
Live and RadiaL are useful for adding feedback chains to distortion effects. A little "seed" of sound from a fragment of a loop or a hard or soft synth feeds in and gets carried around...

What do you get when you mix together a badly tuned acoustic guitar missing a string, a bored musician, and an iBook with Live/Reason...
Well... this: http://qchapter.com/demo/huh!.mp3
Yamaha acoustic w/one missing string, Guitar recorded with Rode NT1 condenser through Presonus TubePre into Live. All percusion and synth arp created with Reason.

Live Act done in Ableton Live
Hi
Here is my last live act, at O2lx club in Lisbon.
http://www.kolorvize.com/liveact/
All originals except some loops I "stole" from other tracks.
It's divided in 2 parts, which were played in between the dj acts.
I used Live, an RME Hammerfall and a mixer, which was being processed in a Pioneer EFX 500.
Some of it was assembled, and I layered loops on top of it.
I hope you like it
And of course... what matters is that I used Live.
Cheers!

Live set I did a month ago. Pardon the buzz in the beginning and the weird dropouts. 1 hour long.

i didn't really use Ableton alot to construct the tracks, maybe for some beat matching and whatnot, but i plan on using it in a live context for sure, both on my experimental techno projects and my industrial act.
njoy,

my turn
I released my new CD "The Track Inside" just last week... recorded with Cubase VST and SX with Ableton via Rewire. Some of the percussion tracks/etc are handled via Ableton Live.
Let me know what you think...
