no fucking way!! Did you actually mention Live or music in one of your posts.
Dude, stfu and contribute to on-topic shit, or use your real name in this bullshit. There is something to be said about having a healthy on-topic to off-topic ratio, if everyone was like you this forum would be a shit resource.
I suppose you are talking about me? This is probably the first off topic shit I've ever posted. Feel free to do a search.
I'm just tired of all the bullshit when I try to read the forum. I finally gave up. I'm going to contribute to every stupid off topic politcal rant on here. Hopefully ableton will make it better for us all and make an off topic forum.
You asked, so out of your 20 posts, you have 11 off topic posts. Enjoy it all for what it is, nobody likes the static, it's self governing.
Have fun!

You tell me who's the problem with too much OT static? If everyone posted like you it'd be more than half static.
Yes, and I believe the off topic all started today.
Before that it was make music and only pop in here as needed. Finally got sick of all the bullshit and thought I'd add to it.
You should go make some music. I'm just having a down day today so plenty of time to waste yours.
In either case, I'm tired of the negativity. I tried to add something to this conversation (though very off topic) and you jump on my ass about it with your "finally a post about ableton" shit.
What did I do to you?
Anyway, peace (and I mean that my brother).

Totally.

It's never personal on here, it's a dookie throwing drunken monkey knife fight.

Please clearly explain what you mean by "intolerance".
Dude, what's it gonna be? Lock down the thread or reply to your q?
I mean tell me exactly what YOU call intolerance. And not some vague crap about hate, etc.
I want real examples of how you think the world should be. Explain your ideal world were we all get along and nobody disagree's with anyone else.
Maybe I've got you all wrong (and if so I apologize) but so many people throw around the word "intolerance" and have no idea what they are asking for.
Example, people said Imus (the radio host) was intolerant. I only saw the guy a few times on MSBNC (and quickly switched) but in the end, millions of people who apparently listened to the guy now cannot because certain people called him intolerant. Was he a racist? a (lame) comedian? i don't know. but I do not that for the sake of "tolerance" free speach was thrown out the window.
Again, sorry if I've got you all wrong.
I'm not here to prove you wrong so your question's reply may not meet your satisfaction simply because your questions are huge. I'm being careful because some people are looking for the only answer they know. That may or may not be you.
What is intolerance? In this instance, Intolerance is not allowing others to pursue their beliefs without oppression, or people who don't accept the concept of pluralism. Tolerance appreciates our differences. Disagreement as you've mentioned is actually a byproduct of tolerance. Intolerance gives no chance to disagree.
How should the world be you ask? The world should be what you make it or chose to perceive. If you say hate is here to stay, then for you, it will be so. If one believes otherwise, then that will be true too. There is no collective reality, but billions of individual realities. This is also at the core of tolerance and acceptance. It is the acceptance of difference that brings peace and not the dogmatic exclusivity of organized groups.
Imus and Falwell can believe and say whatever they want. But when one has the airwaves and the subsequent power to promote their own little individual intolerant views, then they will be knocked down by those oppressed by it. That's a good thing.

To be clear, I (try to) hate no one. However human nature is real. No collective reality? Tell that to the people in darfur. People hate. And usually the attempts to surpress that hate only make things worse.

So, Fallwell had certain beliefs. He tried to use political pressure to stop people from doing what he disliked, for example certain public funded art (the whole National Endowment for the Arts protest and such).

Ah but wait. You seem to applaud exactly what Fallwell did - using political pressure to stop something you do not believe in.
It sounds to me like you have no problem with intolerance - as long as it is you who decides what should be tolerated.
If you side with those wanting Imus removed then you have decided that you should have the power to decide what 3.25 million people may and may not listen to (his audience size according to google). You could simply not tune in. However for many (Fallwell and perhaps yourself) ignoring what you do not like is not good enough. You want to prevent others from doing it as well.
Don't get me wrong - you and I are probably very similiar. I hate (err.. dislike) all those silly radio programs (shock jocks). I have no room for that bullshit in my life. But I cannot allow myself to start forcing others to believe how I believe.
Oh well. I'm tired of fighting. Peace brother.

Its easy to knock him but he did talk a lot of sense.
On feminism:
"I listen to feminists and all these radical gals. ... These women just need a man in the house. That's all they need. Most of the feminists need a man to tell them what time of day it is and to lead them home. And they blew it and they're mad at all men. Feminists hate men. They're sexist. They hate men; that's their problem."

They replayed him being interviwed on Fresh Air with Terry Gross (NPR) yesterday, the interview was from about ten years ago IIRC.
I didn't get to listen to the whole thing, but I did catch the part about his feelings on the "militant homosexual agenda", and how they are out to recruit/brainwash/etc all the good little boys and girls to their evil, immoral lifestyle.
"Gays don't make babies, they make more gays."
niiiice....
Interesting factoid, his father was an atheist and he didn't grow up with religion. He was born-again in college and it was all downhill from there apparently.

Lets hold hands and pray for Jerry Falwells soul, Jesus will you send him to the 9 level of the malebolge. Tell all the hellspawn to kick his ass, and may the violator show him true love.

It's funny how all these evangelists who are so close to god look like demons. He looks like he is about to explode!
