IMO, it's a shame you haven't produced the requested lighting-only plug-in.
There are TONS of outstanding VJ programs out there already that interface beautifully with Live. You'll have a hard time going head-to-head with the likes of Modul8, Arkaos, Resolume, VDMX, etc.

Yes, but you can't record the outcome including lighting and sell it, and it's alkward using 2 timelines and having to save 2 files ect, no crossfading either...
everything can be manipulated to audio from any channels you like where resolume etc is only the master output. so for instance you could have one effect being controlled by the bass, another by a synth, and a third by a singer, nothing like that is possible from the competition.
Also, resolume etc is steppy as it uses midi to communicate which is only 0-127 when the screen could be 1200 or more pixels across so every step is 12 pixels, no slow moving of objects then.
to be honist, the competion doesnt even come close...
theres more to come... It's an easy sell... it's about QUALITY!!

And OSC.
Arkaos has 14-bit MIDI resolution for some functions. Brilliant when using Live CC curves for frame-accurate synched movie clip playback!
Many VJs are using Live to control their video rigs. I don't use Live for audio or lighting any more (except for fun). It's for live video and camera control only.

Not as yet, im still working out wether to produce my own usb device or use a comerercial unit. If I produce my own im protected by piracy and if I dont then Ive got more time on my hands to contact businesses in medical technologies to one day produce a hologram type dancer for stage use(just an idea). Depense where I wish to put my new skills and business.

Is noise emission a concern for doing it yourself? I work with AVR's and one of the sticking points is getting a device certified. Reportedly there's a loophole (at least in the States) for
battery powered powered devices, but I would guess USB-powered units don't qualify for that. If I remember right, Digitech had to recall/replace some of their pedals because they were reported in the field as causing problems. Just something to consider, since noise suppression isn't a straightfoward process and it can get expensive.

Ive came up with a new way to do layers in our video effects, can't tell you anything about it as I don't want competition ripping off my ideas before it's released, but it works GREAT!!
Our application is as stable as a rock!

I wont be adding many more, I learnt that mistake with my pocket pc application, just got too big!!
Yes, probably be using entec usb devices.

uh, at 180 euro? No thanks! Wow, that's just fantastically expensive. But at least they showed us the board which has like 6 components on it!
