thanks, NTP. But if you really want to help, you're going to have to say something inflammatory.
yeah, Noise - you must be good for some pro-islamic hoohah at least? Or at the very very least a snide remark about christians, eh?

by the way, posting pictures is the sure-fire way to get to 100 pages. And I know, so you'd better watch out!

Ok, well don't you think the american version of Christianity is the less favorable of the bunch.
Euro and mid east christianity is more tolerant and steeped in it's origins. Evangelism is an american construct, no?
We have hit a point of agreement, KK--which doesn't bode well for hitting 100 pages. I'm with you, completely. Evangelical Christianity is an obnoxious, oddball variety. And yes, I believe you're right when you say it's an American construct--though I don't know for sure. I think TV played a big part in its rise. Those people seem to have about 75% of all cable channels.
Cheers to that. TV, good one.

I would never try and throw anyone off their faith. I don't think it's wrong to believe in god at all. Certainly, some believe/communicate it better than others. I have some brilliant friends who are deeply christian and balanced in my view, though that would be mostly my black friends. My step mother is an evangelistic witch so in that regard I may be hopelessly biased. I only mean to push back on that group since I believe they really subvert the message. Jesus would renounce pacifism for a minute to slap a few upside the head if he knew what was going on.

Yes, the biggest problems with evangelicals today is the fact that since they're so prevalent in the media, in politics, etc., people who don't know any better take them to be representative of the whole of Christianity. It's an embarassment that the rest of us have to live with. I do happen to believe some of the things they believe, but by and large they are off track, and indeed, Jesus might be tempted to administer the sacred slap of shame.

Funny how distaste creates such artwork.

I'm STILL totally disappointed that none of the religious folk won't even acknowlege satan. Pickin' and choosin' religion. Let alone angels and all those boogeymen.

Shtreimel - I'm still not buying that all of Judaism does not recognise Satan.

Some political stuff... (gag on the white boy jesus with female eyes  He looks stoned actually, red eyes! )
