The Apple Garage Band for iPad page says you can send projects to a Mac's Garage Band.
So that's pretty much a given that you can send it to logic, or even export the bits and import to Live. I think, but could be wrong.
Good.
And the 11th is my birthday.

This is literally exactly what I was hoping Ableton would do with Live in a post on the forum awhile back. As much as I prefer Live's workflow, this has got me seriously considering changing to Logic as my main daw.
I really love Live though, and Im still hopeful ableton will make a similar move.

I don't really get the "Personal Hotspot" thing that is only for the iPhone 4. It's when that guy was talking about the iOS update. What is that? My 3Gs already has Internet tethering through Bluetooth and USB, is the Personal Hotspot just a Wi-Fi version of the Bluetooth tethering that is on the current version of iOS?

I believe that's exactly what it is....

The Apple Digital AV Adapter costs $39. In addition to working with the iPad 2, it also supports video out for the original iPad, the iPhone 4, and the fourth-generation iPod touch.

I'm gonna use it for "fingerpainting" me some nice graphics in all those "toy" graphical apps, to make content for VJing muwahahaha

YES!
Please share some vids when done.
Again, like I said, smoke and mirrors. There's tons of shit Jobs mentioned that people all over the netsphere are asking "Wait, do I need the iPad 2 to do that?" and the answer is almost always "No."

I was just reading about this on the apple site. This is huge actually! Now I can share my internet connection from my iphone to my ipad. It always bothered me that I couldn't tether to my ipad (I just have the wi-fi ipad and refuse to get another data plan). Now I can get wi-fi to ipad from iphone anywhere! This is the biggest news of the day for me!

Yes, it is cool and may well be the reason I only get a wifi version of the iPad2. Or 3.

HUGE update but some things like HD and speaker location and screen res stay the same.
Give them enough to have it be a fucking GAME CHANGER and sell like hotcakes.
Then, in the fall, hit 'em hard again with the iPad3.
Motorola is weeping right about now.
Yeah, I have to agree that Apple kind of smoke and mirrored us on this one and then further third railed us with OS upgrades that will actually be available on the first gen iPads as well but the presentation would lead those less astute to believe they need an iPad 2 to take advantage.
Brav-fucking-o.
Exactly.
I like the cameras on the new one, but don't NEED them.
I like the dual procs, but don't know if I NEED them.
Gyroscope... probably don't NEED.
Memory... that might matter.
Having a little scratch pad that exports projects that I can turn into "real" projects, with enough hard drive space to make this sensible on a month long trip out of the country... THAT I NEED.
Kinda thinking about getting one of the refurbs at this point.
The 64GB iPad1 is $529
The 64GB iPad2 is $699
Not a HUGE difference in price, but given what I'd expect to use it for regularly, it sort of starts to matter.
Dunno, though...
It IS my birthday, after all.

Here's a thing...
http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/pd ... steve-jobs
The stats Apple revealed are more impressive, all designed as part of that share-boosting drive: 100m iPhones shipped, 200m iTunes accounts and more than $2bn paid to developers. That means Apple's revenue from apps has been $6.6bn.
If Apple get 30% of every sale then their revenue from apps should be around $1bn not $6.6bn, right?

According to apogee's site, the new Jam interface works on both iOS and OS X, and has a 44.1khz 24-bit converter. I assume this means we'll see 24-bit audio support in iOS 4.3?
Also, apparently the touch instruments in GarageBand for iPad are motherfucking velocity sensitive!?
Swap projects between GarageBand on iOS and GB on Mac, as well as (likely) Logic?
(Very least you could open in OSX GarageBand, save, then open in Logic.)
I'm a bit surprised this isn't causing more of a stir.
