push: I just want to advertise this feature.. yeah I really miss multiple midi editing in live

multiple midi push and in additon: it would be so useful with group tracks too. (make a group with 3 midi/vst tracks and look at all notes at once, a bit like a drum rack).

Live needs to get back to basics. Back to walking as running has got them running in to trouble.
Their announcement re:Quality means they are seeing that weird and wonderful features creates too many bugs and the foundations of music making needs to be addressed. Live is no longer the domain of DJ's and I would guess those DJ's are really annoyed at their once stable tool that Live was has been made unreliable by composers getting in on the act and asking for new features to be implemented.

I am one of those composers although none of my requests have been implemented.Yet they are basic to music making.

Basics such as this topic ie:multiple midi clip editing in the same window is a must ! Top of the List in my opinion to be implemented.
This is not a futuristic mind twisting music mangling request that an add on plugin will provide, it is a simple basic neccessity.

Other basics are a Clock and a Tool For removing unwanted clicks in Audio Clips.
Quality is about building rock solid simple foundations.

+1!!! in live there´s a lot about mangling existing music - but very less about creating music!

+1 to multiple midi clips view (only editing the current selected, but you can see more that one)

Great idea, mr ergonomics. It could save a lot of switch-to-another-view time.

I have learnt that forwardness is unfortunately often the more successful way. Therefore I want to advert one time again. I think this is really a important feature (not only for me).

- when you click on a note the related midi track is selected so that you can draw midi notes for the selected midi track in the editor (just the way it works in cubase)
-> click on one 'blue' note do select the 'blue' midi track and draw notes - after that just click on the red note do draw red notes

Although there are a LOT of feature requests floating around, it seems to me that MIDI editing is the main deal-breaker for many people who would like to abandon other DAWs. For composers, this is the bread-and-butter operation that a DAW must do. With M4L, MIDI has become even more important to Live than it was previously. It is something that is really crying out for improvement. Live is such a great program, it's too bad to limit its usefulness over something that seems relatively low-tech like MIDI editing.

Oh I forgot something (which is pretty much a standard in all midi editors I know). automation or midi cc in the editor. just an example... when you work with orchestral stuff (expression is an often used CC parameter by east west for example) it's really handy do have an additional lane in the editor for that. I think that's really important too for many people who wants to use live as their main daw.

wright.. people should do more of theese essential wishes that maje the work with the program more fun instead all this weard more and more possebility shit... especially because ableton gets the wrong immage because they are themself rather into gimmicks like M4L or remote scripts instead propper midi and sync functionalitys...

it seems that the program is mainly designed for the needs and workflows of some ableton guys..

that there is no tool to get rid of clicks or no propper sync to external clocks just shows that they dont care...

and all the majority of user wishes that dont mention such basics even support that ideology of bad design.

What can we do to give such sensible wishes more weight?

maybe we can bribe the scrum master?
