Don't jump to conclusions :!:
You are talking about "load" stress, I am talking about "feature" and "function" stress. ;) And 40 tracks is nothing, any loaded Drum Rack eats more than that. :P

the 40 track includes me listing DRUM RACKS as ONE TRACK.

I use plenty of features and tricks in Live, I ain't no noob at this stuff.

Whatever. I think you're Timur in disguise

No disguise at all! 8)

I was compared to HAL2000 by another user lately and I like it. I think I'm gonna create a new account by that name.

BTW, the are you Timur in disguise was not trying to be an insult, just an observation ;) No bad feeling here.

I think it's great to have advocates for the consumers of Live and you certainly have come forward to bat for the team on a number of issues, it's all good. But let's also keep a perspective. Ableton are a small company and they are trying to comply with their customers wishes, even if some feature requests and bug fixes are coming more slowly than we'd like. Other companies like Steinberg (imho) really don't give a F***, they lock you, ban you, and their mods take everything personal and often insult you back before locking a thread so you can't reply to it, etc...

Just that Timur got a little bit TOO obsessional, and he continues his tirade and seemingly personal vendetta against Ableton on many other 3rd party forums, such as gearslutz. Places where the ableton mods and developers are not going to try and answer him.

Oh, I didn't understand it negative in any way. 8)

Excuse me, but that I do understand in a negative way. Not only do I not have a personal vendetta against Ableton (eventhough both parties discredit each other repeatedly), but also I did not publish any "tirade" against Ableton on Gearslutz!

I participated in a thread called "Is there a sound difference in various DAW's ?" where I contributed my experience with Live's (talking about the software) Plugin Buffer Timing/Jitter issues and how I am confident that these contribute a lot more to sound differences than the bitdeep of the summing-engine (32 vs 64 bit). I mentioned there that I am in contact with Ableton's support via non-public channels (aka mail) about what I see as a bug, but wrote nothing particular bad about Ableton at all. At least nothing I could find when just using the search function there.

So please people, stop interpreting my ongoing fight for proper support and quality results for inquisitorial stake-burning attempts. :?

I was joking about the Timur thing and applaud you advocating for the users.

I think that Timur started off like that but then lost some of his focus and just had the desire to see his name in print and have the last word. In the end, it seemed to me, it was more about HIM than genuinely trying to be helpful.

So apologies for any offence caused. I don't think you've lost focus of your goals, where as T. did. And now he's whooping it up ripping into Live and the Ableton staff on various other sites, where no-one or very few people is/are arguing back to him, so he's happy in his own little world.

I think that Ableton are a great company and really in most cases, do want to help but sometimes it does them good to have a reality check on certain issues too.

+1

Knocked out a problem I came across several times using External Instrument and dragging clips which led 2 a crash.

No time 2 save or anything. Live just went "poof".

Anyway, it works great now.

My own apologies for making you feel I'd be thinking you to be a noob.

I'm answering in a PM now in order to keep this thread clutter-free. Just so much though, none of my posts on Gearslutz, Cakewalk or RME was intended to have a defamatory character and as far as I checked back on Gearslutz non of them had.

Did you report that to support when you encounted it? When we reported it they quickly reproduced it and called it "high priority", but then it took another three months until the fix was finally released (unless you call installing four time-limited Betas a useable fix), which forced us using .9 all the time.

We are so glad it's finally fixed, because it made our live Set (like onstage) literally unuseable or better to say uneditable.

well, apart from the OVERDUB not working, the copy and paste not working, and many small old bugs that have been there for several versions, and will probably always be there, it works.
