I will definitely be testing for this... I had a first production run MPD24 where an entire batch was fubared like this. Hell one of the encoders didn't even work.Johnisfaster wrote:...although I have seen stories of parameters randomly jumping possition. I had mine do this once or twice but it doesn't seem to be a continuing problem. it was probably a weird midi feedback signal I was messing with by accident.
BCR2000 top encoders question...
The top encoders do feel sort of different, but my conjecture is that this is
simply because they are push encoders, which also need to move up and
down, as opposed to the regular knobs. The difference doesn't bother me
in any way at all. All in all, the BCR is a no-brainer for studio work. I'm not
quite convinced it would be ideal for lots of touring and gigging - the rotaries
probably will come off quite easily with a bit of bumpage. That said, I have
never seen or touched a controller knob that's made me go "WOW! This
thing will double as a car-jack!" (That said, I actually dropped my BCR on
the floor once, and it works just fine) Also, it's not bus powered, which I
imagine would be a drawback for gigging.
