We sampled the 808 & 909 entire kits from the oiginal boxes:

open the ableton "simpler" device.
drag the 808 kick into the simpler device.
now it's mapped across the keyboard.

if the kicks sound out of tune at first, use the transpose and fine-tune to tune by ear.
