Firefox can download as many files as you want. All the breaks from that thread are here in REX 2:

http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=358d ... 66b0c46b08

download all the files into the same folder, then open the 001 with 7zip and extract where you want it (it automatically combines the rest). I didn't put those up, I just don't remember what site linked me to them.

Thanks for all the advice. I lack two very old-school things: a sampler and a working record player. I have no trouble doing my sampling in Live, and I'm working on the record player issue. I have an old Yamaha PX-2 that needs a new needle.

I cut up a beat last night and it doesn't sound too bad, much better than my other attempts. Any advice on sampling melodic/harmonic stuff would be great, cause that seems like the next step.

EDIT: here's the link for those breaks in wav: http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=358d ... f3d048c87f

The last 4 Rex file downloads' content can not be opened by the same program that opened the first 2 REX files of the same format (7z)... the same for the wav version...

I get the message : "The file "/Users/(hard drive name)/Downloads/DOA_LoachM_ClassicBreaksREX.7z.005" does not appear to be compressed or encoded. It is advised that you obtain further information about the contents of this file from the sender or provider of the file."

Anyone know why or what can open it up?

Thanks...

What you should do is download them all into the same folder, open the 001, and extract it. It'll automatically also extract the 002, 003, 004 etc. during the same process. If you open the folder you extracted to everything will be there (should be about 800mb-ish).

I've only tried this with 7zip so I can't help if you're using something else...

using "unarchiver" (for the MAC), and it did not sequentially unpack them... will try something else i guess... 1&2 unpack, the rest don't...

If these are the zipped files off the other forum's thread there seems to be some complaints about them not working, and this thread is quickly mirroring that one.

downloaded the wav files (for a second time), and this time, unlike the Rex Files, and the first shot at all the Wav files, all of these expanded and worked... hmmmm ... damn right wing conspiracy.
