maybe this will do to the music inductry what windows movie maker did to the movie industry....no need to carry around my 1986 k-mart bought casio keyboard and yahama drum machine anymore.

Everyone is so keen to hate microsoft that they are missing the important thing here.
OK the add is dreadful and the "music" coming out of the thing is dreadful as well. But I can see what they are trying to do and from a music software technology point of view I think this is the first product of it's type.
It actually listens to what you sing and follows it in real time. As far as I know this is ground breaking technology. Unless you know of something else that does that. This seems like an entirely new technology in it's infancy to me. The application of AI technology to create a computerised accompanist.
