Oh wait, no they didn't.
Well said!

+1 for Session View Automation.

I certainly hope they enabled recording modulation to clips for native devices so people don't have to use a loopback device.

It will be interesting to see which devices (besides operator) got upgrades.

I'm guessing:

- still just 8 macros

- no customizable automap

- no multiple modulation edit for clips (like multiple automation editing for arrangement)

Curves?

I hope I can draw nice clean curves and waves in clip and session automation. That shouldn't require a complete re-write, should it?

Native re-routing of Midi outputs to Midi control would be nice too.

Being able to label Warp markers in the clip would have been great for DJs.

Also wanted midi mappings to be saved with the rack and recalled when that rack is loaded again.

Also wanted sends to be included when dragging one set into another.

But I'm not complaining. It will take years to utilize everything already done.

Not part of Live 8 it seems. There will probably be "max for Live workarounds"

Too bad... that is the first real flaw I see... controlling 12 parameters with 2 hands, 2 feet and one nose is impossible to do live

The only feature which live 8 misses....

Is a hand coming out of the screen that slaps your face when you still complain that live 8 misses any features.

And this is why we still love vsts/audio units.

Until I see otherwise, they missed:

Warp Markers as Cue points
Customizable interface
Stability
A decent file management system

The proof is in the pudding. I will withhold praise until I see good results.
