Live 7 Suite download did not include Session Drums, nor EIC2.

When I upgraded from Live 6 boxed version (including the first EIC), I went the download route because the extra sounds in EIC2 and Session Drums only duplicated stuff I already owned.

It (L7S download) was made available for quite a bit less compared to the boxed version as a result and given that the EIC2 is 15GB and Session Drums 40GB, not exactly easily downloadable via the web.

Live 8 Suite will probably be similar - I don't know whether or not it will include the 'world class sound library' as described, because this is pretty much a similar thing to EIC2 in that it is based on one shot multisamples and loops. The Latin Percussion I'm also not sure about, although Drum Machines was included with the 7 Suite DOWNLOAD version, albeit it takes up 250MB as opposed to gigabytes of space. If Latin Percussion is similar it should be included in 8 Suite DOWNLOAD too.

uh, all you need to do is login to the ableton website, click on the live 8 info, then click on "pricing" -- it will check what you have bought already, and list your options for upgrading. each possible option lists *exactly* what comes with it, relative to what you already have -- e.g. i have live7suite download (NO EIC2) so I can upgrade to either live8suite download (still no EIC2) or liveSuite8 boxed (and yes, get EIC2...)

the ableton pricing info page makes this stuff extremely clear, so this thread is a leeetle bit baffling to me.

My experience ...
I had the Live 7 (Download version) but now I wanted a printed manual etc so I upgraded to the Live 8 Boxed version (not the Suite).
but I wanted the IEC2 as well so I want for the bundle ; Live 8 boxed + EIC2 (which was 86 Euro extra).

When it arrived I noticed in my box a double DVD (Live 8 install + IEC2) as a base package + another DVD IEC2 (exactly the same DVD) so I'm afraid I spend 86 euro's too much over there...
I wrote Ableton about this, but received no answer.
