How does it work in version 8?
You don´t have to type in any serial. There are 2 buttons
UNLOCK THIS COMPUTER
or
UNLOCK ANOTHER COMPUTER
Than you have to choose if there is any internet connection and you´re done.
Hope i remember correctly...

Groups are a proper subgroup! So you can group all your drums, then put in a bus compressor for example. They also unfold in arrange (drumracks still don't) all the colour coding stuff is great, new warping system definitely takes some getting used to, but it's actually better, you can also do quantize commands on warp markers now. Beats mode has parmeters how the grains are played, one shot, forward, forward/backward. It messed with it for a bit and got some crazy wobbly burbly sounds.

The new warping with transients is blowing me away. It manages to warp live performance tracks pretty accurately and any errors can be fixed in seconds. Seems to be doing a really good job with accapella's as well.
The new transients take a while to get used to but once you do it rocks.
I've been going through some of the tracks I've warped before and I did a shit job on them, highlighted by the transients being out of place. I think I'm going to have to go through them all and correct the errors.
Seeing as I primarily use Live for dj'ing, it was taking me ages to warp a track (and even then I did a shit job) this is a life saver and will make a massive difference. Worth the upgrade price for this feature alone for me.

So far so good. For anyone who thought otherwise, the vocoder kicks ass. Operator is new and shiny, if you loved it before(like I did) you'll love it even more today. Add the frequency shifter to the Operator and you can truly fuck things up (in a good way).
This is an update I'll buy the day it hits the online shop. Everythings good about it!

But as there are no presets that means no Daft Punk patch at present, hopefully there will be when they release the library. All I can get from it is noise.

i didn't want the vocoder and i was WRONG it is amazing! (For all sorts of filtery effects - doesn't have to vocode.)
