osx version!!!
OK, I get it... we are officially a troll spawning forum. I have to thank Conny (second time this week) for the definition-links of trolling. So much of the BS finally makes sense, but digging up this archive to weed out responses from people that (oh my god!) didn't check the date... that's just unnecessarily high-brow for such a teaser. There happens to be a lot of sensitve-fashion-conscious-Gates-hating-mac users out here that are very sensitive about the lack of altivec optimization.
Wow this trolling biz is sort of amusing! If this was your intention I give you enormous credit in the form of Matthew Barney transgender freemasons.

ah so is that like how black people can say ni**er but white people can't? hahaha. since you use a mac you can bash em?
i'm kidding though really. i think your post was misinterpreted and you were just making a friendly sarcastic jab rather than kidding.
we're all a little trigger happy on applying the troll label lately...
that needs to stop! the only real trolls in my opinion are the "live will never beat cubase" busters on this forum from last year. we're all on the same team people. we all use an application that looks the same on our screen no matter what platform you use.

Thanks for your astute reply Adamjay. That is exactly ther sophmoric logic I was perpetuating, and in foresight I aapologize.
Yeah, I was just trying to be sardonic/ironic, and I'm glad you figured realize that. By the way, thanks for all of your help/ work with the Coverts. And, let me add, I appreciate your posts and I am most confused by your recent decision to purchase a powerbook. After all of your hardwork and scientific research, why (if you don't mind me asking) did you decide to go with what appears to be a performance downgrade? I am really interested, man! I don't mean to troll, so feel free to pm me, but in all honesty this is a legitimate question. I plan on playing out at some point soon, and my Dual G5 is awfully bulky!

Have you ever held an Aluminum 12" PowerBook?
I cant think of a sig
Dude,
My GF's, bro has one of the 2004 edition, 17inch 1.33 ghz pb's. Despite my straight-laced lifestyle, testing it out made me feel like I was supposed to blow lines of coke of it it in some hip lower-east-side VIP room. As far as the tech side of it... I am hypnotized by the presentation, but that doesen't enable Operator (or Logic) to run any smoother. So, since I am still short on material (in my OCD opinion) I will personally wait the for the next generation of powerbooks before I make my decision.
Despite all rational thought, I still wanted to club the dude and rock out with his laptop (1.67 ghz or not,) it sure feels nice!

I understood it to be sardonic, but the whole nature of the internet is to perpetuate misunderstanding when it comes to sarcasm, and other not so easily written subtleties of language in conversation. The classic troll move is to state something like you did in order to get the other person worked up, and I didn't think you really meant that, but it made a great example of a troll statement in context.LOFA wrote: That is exactly ther sophmoric logic I was perpetuating, and in foresight I aapologize.

No need for apologies mister LOFA.
Yeah, I'm still thinking about selling the dual gig and 800mhz powerbook, then getting the 12" 1.5.......... Live is pretty fun to write in, and that sure would make it easier........
