i would get it if it was called "The Beat" and was marketed by a bunch of poets dressed in black with barets.
but seriously.
the laptop battery power is an amazing idea, being able to make beats anywhere is definitely a plus. you can sample like any other machine, so just delete the presets.
why bother comparing this to an akai? they have nothing in common at all
usb in/out is a very powerful tool, you can run ableton through the machines effects and back in without ANY routing. i do this with my 555 and its amazing, except the 555's fx's beat the shit out of "chopped and screwed"
i hope roland and korg steal everything thats remotely cool about the beat kang just so they can release a version for humans, and not these hu-mangs
