and if i get no response, i'm assuming the answer will be nobody has used it.

I'm surprised anybody is bothering to respond to this with any amount of sincerity. It's hardly worth it, but.....I have to ask, is this really how you, ostensibly a musician, would decide what musical tools you want to use??? Based on whether or not "A-LIST" caliber people also use them? Why not, uh, download the demo, TRY IT YOURSELF, give fuck-all to whoever famous or successful uses it, and see if it fits YOUR particular style of production, YOUR ideas, YOUR workflow, YOUR needs as a creative musician. Do you really think your needs, styles, methods are identical to any given A-LIST musician? because you'd have to believe such nonsense to think this was a reasonable way to go about deciding on what DAW you use.

gah. why am i even bothering.

cperezzz wrote: "take your tracks from LIVE to another DAW for mixing" sounds interesting.
but, that sounds like i would have to invest in more software? what is a good MIXING DAW that we are talking about here?
you don't need to mix in another daw. most 'pro' artists just end up doing that cause pro tools and logic are the 'standard' and if they don't use them the label will probably b***h at them.

technically speaking you can achieve the exact same results as those programs using only live (this should get interesting now)

Why don't you download the demo, make a quick song and give us some hope that you're worthy of Live. "Ask not what your DAW can do for you, but what can you do for your DAW." :D

If you have good plugins mixing in Live will yield same result as any other DAW. 1010010010100010110

Main reason people talk of bouncing and mixing on Pro shit tools is obvious. They cannot use the thousands and thousands of dollars worth of plugins they bought for shit tools and are only usable within the PT shit tool environment. This is only reason I see to mix down in other DAW. Otherwise staying within Live yield same result as all other typical daw.

this isnt the right place for you.

head over to http://www.futureproducers.com/forums/

you will find a community that welcome you with open arms, as they discuss all the 'pro' hardware and software they have, that they dont have the faintest idea how to use.

see you in the bargain bin.

look, my group won best new international act at the Australian Grammy awards and a Smash Hits award in the UK. we opened up for the Backstreet Boys many times. now that my group is no longer, i'm just trying to go solo. so please, don't question my talent.

i'm just looking for a professional DAW that does it all from the first track recorded, to the master disc.

and don't ask me what group i was in.

OK bye bye now.

Seems the industry has churned out another musical genius. What a rewarding experience. I'm sure you know how to dress well.

was your band called "the holier than thou name droppers" ? cause there was a band named that on the charts a while back, they weren't very good though.

Well, then, buy Live and the answer to your question could be: YOU.
And if your group opened for The BS boys, then I, for one, question your talent. But, I question my own as well.

in my mind the only artists that are worse than the ultra pop stars of the world are the ones who open for them. those are the people who end up on american idol bitching at simon for not picking them.
