i was immediately about to ask the same question. . so they were accurate you say... damn. best series ever.

besides.... i'm living in berlin, germany. born and raised in jerusalem, israel. have been into music since ever. played instruments since 3 y/o, went to music high school and such (but honestly, not a great virtuoso till this very day). moving image is what i make for living. i'm a cameraman. so i'm like a double headed dragon in that matter, switching audio to visual back and forth and gave up on deciding what i like more. but i think nothing makes me happier than making music really... this and walking in the park hand in hand with my 1.5 y/o child.. although making music can make me miserable too, at times. well, my kid can too i'm vegetarian since 3.5 years and vegan since 6 weeks (yay!!). i try to be happy but can't giving up on melancholy. and espresso's.

Basically the same thing I do here. I'm a consultant for various software companies and local studios, and I play live every once in a while to keep it all in balance.

@ smutek- more power to you. Recovering alcoholic (38 years since my last drink) and crackhead (11 years clean) here.

I work for a German company called Meinl. We manufacture cymbals and percussion. I work in the US office which is in Nashville, TN. I sell these products to music stores in TN, GA, NC, SC, AL, MS, and KY. I also have a Cd on iTunes (I've tried to make it my job but it's just not paying all the bills).

I am 35 years old software developer from the Montreal area in Canada. I live in the suburbs and take the train to work too. No wife, no kids, but I still got my hair. I'm into electronic music as well. I think Jesus must have been a cool dude, but I never attend church as it bores me to death. I won't discuss my rebellious past here, but I will say I live a very quiet life now (VERY quiet). I stay home, make some music, and spend several hours a day on forums like this one.

I work for MTV, nothing too crazy. I scan, tape and file footage as it comes in. I've been with MTV for about 4 years now, it's a good gig. Apart from that I don't do too much. Music of course, avid hockey fan, but that's about it.

Middle aged dude but I still have most of my(own) hair. By night I'm suppa cool writer/producer making breakthrough electric music on my pc laptop. I'm rich so I have alot of plugins and stuff. I have a bedroom studio but I got lazy and do most of my stuff while sitting in bed watching HDTV trash. It inspires me.
By day I'm a dentist and I play chillout/electronica at my patients while they wait and during the procedures. I sneak in a few of my tunes and they can't tell the difference! There's nothing like having a captive audience.

I'm 24. I've spent the past five years of life as a uni bum, which is a proud danish tradition. I've been studying arabic, persian and lately linguistics. I'm and planning to stay as long as they let me. So hopeful I'll get a PhD when I get my master's in ~2 years and then edge my way into teaching and researching.

After graduating from gymnasium at 18, I took six months off everything and live with my parents just making music. At around new year's in 2004, I took a step back and looked at how it was going and decided to get an education...

I recently broke up with my girlfriend of three years and I'm now living with a bearded death metaller (he studies literature and is really easy to live with, but calling him a bearded death metaller sounds better) and a plush tapir and my 18 computers. It's OK but I miss the girl a lot.

I've given up drinking more times than I can remember, and also decided to let everything go and become an alcoholic more times than I can remember. I've never succeeded at either.

last time Surgeon played here, he opened with one of my debut tracks. ive 2 more 12"s coming out this month.

3 have worked in finance/accounting for 30 years, the last 16 at a Glendale-based telecom firm

4 play winds/reeds/keys/tuned percussion - began piano at 6, flute at 7

5 studied music composition at Chapman University in Orange, CA - 1972-1976

6 constantly attempting to master new instruments - 2009 is "The year of the AxiS 64 MIDI controller"

7 home recordist since my first PortaOne in '83 - use Sonar, Live, Reason & Notion and variety of hardware/software

8 studio goal for 2009 is to master Live 8 and make it my principal DAW

9 listen to/write primarily progressive rock, jazz/fusion, modern "serious" music (Zappa & Steely Dan are my "musical cornerstones")

10 love modern progressive - Flower Kings, Frost*, Spock's Beard, Porcupine Tree, echolyn, IZZ, etc.

11 recently listening to/trying to write more electronica, urban and pop - fascinated with re-mixes and what makes a great "3-minute pop song"

12 second creative focus is photography - Nikonian (D2x, D2h), I shoot boardsports (primarily vert/pool skateboarding), landscapes & concerts

13 skateboarding photography has appeared in numerous magazines including Thrasher, Concussion, Concrete Wave, etc.

14 dabble in dv filmmaking (primarily to have something to score to) and 2D/3D digital arts (primarily Bryce, Vue D'Esprit & Mojoworld)

15 continue to skateboard (48 years), surf (45 years) and snowboard (31 years) - it keeps me young!

16 collect 1960s rock art, with a focus on the San Francisco (Fillmore/Family Dog) era - specifically the work of the late Rick Griffin

17 was a principal photographer for the "Rick Griffin's Transcendence" exhibition catalog at the Laguna Art Museum in 2007

18 love Northern Europe - back to Holland (based in Amsterdam) in July for a week, then to Loreley, Germany for the "Night of the Prog" festival

19 attempting to master the Dutch language (VERY difficult!), got the basics down before last year's trip - learning grammar, etc. this year

20 hope to retire in 5 years to Ojai, California and do some form of commercial photography
