How in the world did you manage a phase inversion of a stereo track (ITB summing-easy) and a stem mixdown and get them sample accurate to do a phase invert?!? IE: How did you turn your stems into a stereo file? Very curious!

One method is to export all tracks in the render dialog box.

the squashy crap sounding bounce only happens when your master goes into the red. keep a proper mix throughout and your exported audio will be perfect. i promise.
