I use Ableton's Drum Racks and load them up with samples found online from old 80's - 90's digital beat boxes, like the Roland R-8 or Alesis DM-4 & 5, etc. Then, thanks to the beauty of drum racks, I can create individual FX chains for each pad, usually with EQ, Compression, light Reverb, etc.
