That's really strange Tjwett, I've had two crashes since Live 4.0.1 and they were down to silly freeware plugs really.

If you've not already done so, check this site out http://www.musicxp.net/ and follow all the advice there to the last letter.

There's also a forum with people who should be able to help you out better than I ever could.

Live 4 is admittedly far from solid yet and I think they should of continued with the beta testing a while longer. But seriously I'm getting very few problems, so I assume it's got to be something to do with your XP setup or dodgy hardware.

Did you build your machine yourself, Or buy a dodgy off the shelf job?

It's a shame you're having such a hard time with it man, it's got to be giving you a real heartache for your old machine.

Just thought of one other important point to check, remember to DEFRAG very regularly. It's sometimes a universal cure for PC wierdness.

XPs defrag is very good, I do mine after every install of any bit of software, and at least once every two weeks.

if you do it regularly it only takes a few minutes cos it doesn't have much work to do. That goes for the Audio drives too.

First the global quantization lost its hot key. The naming of files by track name!?! I can't find a way to view recorded controller data I would like to edit in a clip Also realtime input quantize via a menu (no hotkey). And this last one was probably in the old versions too, but now I'm noticeing cause I used to bounce in Cubase. The rendered loops have clicks in the beginning!?!
Either no one wants to help me or no one knows about this stuff. I guess I'll have to live with it. I just really don't beleive that these were overlooked and/or removed from the program. Add this to the list with the pitch control not being midi assignable.
