I wrote a small application a few years ago that spins my hard drive platters at a precise speed which will resonate the casing at the exact frequency of the root note of the song I am working on.

I find that when the entire macbook resonates during the final render, everything aligns much better and I get a much more synergistic sonic signature in my output.
This of course works really well with the new unibody macbook design as the entire case is a solid piece of metal. It's really so much awesome.

I find that i don't need to use any compression when rendering my mixdown as long as the Ableton Forum is open in a browser.

Funny...it made my cats dart out of the studio ~ which is ok though, since the subsequent mixes elicited a "those are some phat beats!" response from "Dollhouse" babe Eliza Dushku! :lol:

Back on topic, I do not think that RAM can affect sound in anyway,
except for avoiding hiccups due to heavy disk load.
