There are a lot of companies doing basically their version of the same thing. I am always interested in new ideas & new ways to re-envision the tools & processes we use.

Yeah, but it is an expensive shadow. The price to entry is high for a lot of hobbyists, most of which have no use for the endless tweaking that we love so much.

Yep... they're not going to write another Cubase obviously so what is it? They're staring with a government multimedia loan/grant that's how Ableton started too...

not at all, why do you say that? Ok I didn´t even see the claim about bedroom producers, but what can be good for the bedroom producer can also be good in any studio, they use the same programs. whats promising is that they won a price for their idea, whatever it is.

yep, that's true - but I'd rather they aim for the heavens and then if it falls short it's all good. Aiming at the bedroom they might hit the gutter!

As must be universally recognized by now, with the advent of comparatively inexpensive tools (computers, software, hardware, internet, etc.), there are more bedroom producers than any other kind. Seems like they are targeting the widest possible demographic, & trying to turn them on to new ideas & empower them to act upon these ideas. Sounds good to me! Now let's see what they actually deliver...

Yep. and if Pro Tools would have been called "Fruity Loops" and FL Studio was called "Pro Audio Workstation" take a wild guess what you'd see in every "professional" studio.
