So have you pre-ordered or whatevered an APC40?
Re: So have you pre-ordered or whatevered an APC40?
no! not yet, i am major put off by the fact that it needs a psu (for the disco lights) and that it is a wallmart on top of it, also tempting but a bit to big, size wise...
hoping for a nano model.

Sweetwater shipped mine yesterday.

u serious? the wall wart is actually reasonable, it's slim and accommodates the use of the plug next to it.SubFunk wrote:no! not yet, i am major put off by the fact that it needs a psu (for the disco lights) and that it is a wallmart on top of it, also tempting but a bit to big, size wise...

or buy a cheap power cable to plug the wall wart into.
you're put off by a wall wart?
got mine last week, bought it from john gordon for $250.

Waiting for mine, eta end of June.

Yup, i am serious... Anything that makes needing more then my computer psu, hence one single plug putsme off and is a no go... So far i use a firewire card, usb external drive and a padK. all powered via the MBP, anything that requires another poweroutlet is for me a no go. especially crap bulky n' heavy wallmarts... It's maximum unconvinient for travel... I expect at least an IEC connex for device like that... i talked to ableton about it and they claim it would have been to expensive, they fitted all those disco lights in instead...Tone Deft wrote:u serious? the wall wart is actually reasonable, it's slim and accommodates the use of the plug next to it.SubFunk wrote:no! not yet, i am major put off by the fact that it needs a psu (for the disco lights) and that it is a wallmart on top of it, also tempting but a bit to big, size wise...

I just got notice mine is expected to ship on June 26th
Re: So have you pre-ordered or whatevered an APC40?
My shop is supposed to get 10, 5 are ordered and I'm going to get an email when they're in. Kinda weird I talked to 4 shops none of them suggested taking my money now... Oh and they did get 1 demo APC in, so I FINALLLY touched the freaking thing...
Pads are a bit more rubbery then I expected (or just as rubbery as anything else) it's a bit smaller than I thought it was but a decent size. The really cool thing about Live is being able to compose by starting clips, and trggering stuff with the mouse, or midi mapped to piano or computer keyboard keys doesn't cut it... so the APC is a must!
