You may have missed the grammar of the post. It stated that I missed the "prime" of the stone roses and Happy mondays which was late 80's.....
I lost touch with metal by the early 90's so I cant give a valid opinion regarding the prime.....
Metal has/had amazing musicianship and intensity.......I just found my self gravitating more to music that made my body want to dance, not slam or mosh.....

80s = POSITIVELY the WORST decade in contemporary Rock music's history. Hands down. Garbage for the most part that consisted of posers either rehashing old styles/sub genres or parading new hairdos. Holy ficking YUCK.

Coincidentally, I was just thinking about them the other day after thinking about the Ulrich Schnauss gig, shoegazer bands and 90s nostalgia in general. My current slowdive favourite:

ThrowAway wrote:I always thought bullet for my valentine was an emo band for pre-bleeder females.
My Bloody Valentine are amazing. Ridiculous. Filthy.
"Isn't Anything" is my favorite, "Loveless" is considered a masterpiece.
Haven't listened to the Stone Roses yet which is silly, friends say they're great. James is way underrated. Haven't listened to The Wedding Present in a while so thanks for reminding me.
btw disregard my stupid username, it's obscure here and I can't change it.
