I did that with a reel to reel, worked well. you adjust the timing in the plugin..(based on distance between record and playback heads)
thinking... maybe it does not work that way on a vcr. for example it doesn't look like crap while you're taping something. probably monitors the inputs
?

and of course all my favorite movies as a kid are easy to find on VHS
There are a lot of movies on VHS that have not been released on DVD.

+1, they are masters of getting that look and sound. They're probably just using VHS machines, like maybe even camcorders. Tim and Eric are Public Access as hell, yo.
LOVE Tim & Eric! LOVE Public Access!

Yes, their seasons are much too short. I think I have every episode of that ridiculousness DVR'd.

I have been thinking about doing this for a while too - now I HAVE to.
Also, did a track with a friend recording it all to a cassette 4 track and then tossed it all into Live and it sounds awesome.
Analog tape FTW!

Does anyone know a good couple of filters and settings to get the VHS sound? It would be dope to save that as a preset for some of my Trip Hop tracks while I'm on the road and don't want to lug around a VCR! Appreciate it!
