yep, what should happen is that with the info text panel open (bottom left) when you hover over a preset which was made by Ableton recently then you will see a little text description of the preset.
When you make your own racks or use devices and choose 'edit text', then you can type text in there. That text is available in the same way I described earlier. From the browser.
The main bonus of this for me is that I can search for keywords which I embedded in that 'edit text' before I save the rack, and the search only returns results with those keywords in either the preset name, or the text.

Unfortunately it can be a bit flakey. Often when installing a new version of Live the library doesn't work right. rebuilding should fix it though

searches don't seem to be returning my presets at the moment!
I'm not sure if this relates to my installing L8.04 b4 and the changes that were made to the library db handling in that release.
It's too late at night to investigate this now.

Ah, I see, thanks. I only see that with drum racks, instrument racks or effect racks. I haven't seen it yet with an instrument preset. Is this normal?
