i've heard some ambient and psychill producers mentioning that they use it, but more often in new age sound compositions. paul stretch has it's own binaural generator which will work on samples or songs, so you could experiment with that. remember that it only works on headphones because of variable phase cancellation from position and reflection in rooms.
