In a way they're sort of right, it seems like for every baby born to an intelligent, "ready" couple, there's 5 getting born to some 16 year old single mom who's going to give them minimum everything -- garbage nurturing, garbage food, garbage education and garbage examples to live by. I mean, I get it, I really do. But for every time someone tells me (I'm single; no kids) that "Only stupid people are breeding, you've got to have a kid and make a valuable contribution to society!" I don't think they quite follow the idea that if I wanted to breed to give society an advantage, then I'd have to have 5 or 7 kids and then I would be on welfare and way too stretched to give them anything other than a white-trash upbringing.

I think that, the sooner people just accept that society's going through a massive period of de-evolution, the happier everyone will be.

There are plenty of well off university degreed BMW driving professionals/ business owners who are just as dumb as the so called uneducated poor. Their kids still eat shit food, learn bad social habits, learn dishonesty from their parents, and generally work the system in a different way for their personal gain. Often the only difference is that they know better how to hide their drug habits, fraudulent dealings, sexual misconduct, dishonesty and psychological terrorizing of their kids.

Agreed. Education, integrity and intelligence are all different characteristics of all social classes. Human beings are flawed and self destructive and that has always been the case. Judging peoples parenting skills because of their backgrounds is in itself a sign of ignorance. You cannot love a child too much. You can spoil them with material possessions and you can hurt and neglect them but you cannot love them too much.

I was classed and judged as uneducated and I am from a rough area but I worked my way up in work and got a degree in engineering and a masters in business and I am next in line for managing director of a multi national company at 34 years of age. I am still judged to be the same old rough thicko by some people as they judge me by my appearance and accent. Its a great advantage to be underestimated in business and life sometimes (only when you already have a change to demonstrate your skills). Its not too hard to exceed low expectations. I think the best gifts you can give your children are kindness, respect and humbleness and the ability to stand up to people with none of the above.

We can all justify why we choose to breed, or not to breed.
For many years, I thought I would not have kids, even though I was in a happy stable relationship, for mainly selfish reasons.
(+ the worlds too fucked up & overpopulated to bring more people into it....blah blah)
After having 2 beautiful daughters, I couldn't imagine life without them.
We don't get out to restaurants, clubs, parties etc too often, but really, a simple family life is a most enriching existence.
Every year, we do have a long weekend away from the kids, and have a wicked time.

Personally, I wouldn't feel alive if I didn't have little people in my life.

I do feel very lucky.

Now women......that's something I'll never fully understand.

when im not at work I have to play with my daughter. when she is in bed I have to keep my wife company (but no sex). when she goes to bed I get to play with music.

which keeps me up to two.

Agreed. That's why I will never have kids. There's nobody on the planet who could convince me otherwise. The world will always be messed up to some degree, though, so I'm not against breeders (that's what I call 'em) in general, just the ones who breed thoughtlessly.
