The only thing I need the trackpad for is dragging the clips to one of my two DJ channels. To naviagating among the clips, the grid matrix and the shift buttons work fine. I prefer to run only two audio channels in my Xone, thus why I don't just trigger clips in 8 differetn tracks and avoid the mouse completely. I'm not one of those people feels the need to be completely mouseless

Some more questions regarding the external soundcard

firewire or usb (on a mac)
any recommandations, i dont care too much about the price but it has te be portable.
