Thanks for the recommendations. But I want to test it first to see if it fits for me and how it works - especially when I have to pay nearly 200 dollars for it. I have several plugins I don't work with because I don't feel comfortable with them.

I wrote to soundtoys and the lady from the support put another demo-license to my ilok account.
But I still get the same popup message that the trial has expired.

What am I doing wrong?

On the soundtoys website is written"* Our 30-day demos do not require an iLok authorization but you must have the most recent Pace iLok drivers installed. These can be downloaded"
For me that means you don't need the dongle for the demo.

And the advice, that I should buy an ilok dongle is nice - but that's the first time that I meet ilok on a software I want to have or I want to test. To invest 50 USD just to test something I maybe will not spend money for is a "no no" for me.
Wavearts, Korg, NI, izotope, Fabfilter, etc work with serials - and worked fine for me.

Until yet the plugins of companies which demand an ilok stopped being interesting for me some steps before - because they don't fit into my workaround or I don't like to work with them. Maybe it's a sign.... :D

Last time I tried to demo soundtoys their support told me I did need an ilok dongle plugged in.

Ilok2 will open you up to slate digital and eventide as well as soundtoys that's just the way it is if you want the best sounding and easy to work with effects. Soundtoys plugs are very easy to use hundreds of presets or you can get under the hood and twaeak like a sound engineer. The only other way to demo them is to watch youtube videos.

The ilok put me off for a year I refused to buy one but glad I changed my mind once I had them installed. Downloading the soundtoys manual will further help your understanding of them.
