Open with 8.0.4 remove any external plugin form the project, try open.

Yep tried that. I've tried various things like compatibility mode etc. There are supposed to be windows 7 fixes, that's what i don't understand. It's nuts! Anyway i've contacted beta support.

Anybody else having problems downloading this particular beta (OS X version)?

I've been trying all day and it starts really slowly and then just gets slower... Currently I'm at a whooping 1.6 kb/s. Yup, kilobytes.

I've never experienced slow downloads of Live before, not even during the L8 beta programme, when many people complained about slow downloads.

Sever issues?

Try to stop the download and then resume it.
I can't explain why, but it'll go faster afterwards.
It happened more than once to me with different browsers. It hasn't happened lately though (for me).

I've experienced that too before, but unfortunately, it doesn't help in this case.

EDIT: today it downloaded at 1.5 megabytes. Roughly a thousand times faster than at any out of like fifty attempts yesterday. And I haven't even reloaded the forum page since yesterday, just woke the Mac up and clicked on the download link... Nevermind, I've got it now, that's what counts.

i've had it crash on export lots of times with 8.0.5b4 - does it alot less if u freeze then flatten any vst instruments you may be using..

Sure you're right tekkers but that's really not acceptable coming from a software you pay for!
I hope having a reply from the support team and hearing this is in charge and will be fixed soon!

for the record, this beta is a lot better for me - even loading and quitting times have improved a lot
