Amen man, amen. The fact we no longer have a time view in Clips drives me CRAZY. Especially when DJing. WTF kind of stupid ass decision was that to remove it?

utterly beyond me…I've thought about it and tried to figure out the logic behind it and I can't find it….

maybe they should drop the price every time they remove a feature to rid them once and for all of this nasty habit!

+1 - a clock/ time ruler is a basic Daw feature... jebuz.

Just fix the fucking bugz and leave be.

It's because of the new warping in Live 8, with the new system they can't accurately predict the times later in a clip. Or some such nonsense, it was discussed when I complained about this when Live 8 was released. Oh yes, here's the conversation:

so maybe just a preferences option "show time ruler in clips" and an info text entry on the time ruler explaining what is going on.

In any case, we need a real time on the transport - that is absolutely fundamental and I have never understood why it's not there.

Even playing a long live set you need to know how long you've been playing for, same for a production….. in fact I can't think of a single situation where I wouldn't want to know the time in real time.

Total agreement, I find it funny I still need to wear a watch when I play live. (note, I never wear watching for any other reason)
