i'm not asking for Follow to ALWAYS be on. that's a silly idea (one you actually pursued?!).
the problem i have with it, which i explained to Amaury on the previous page almost 2 years ago, is that Follow switches off when you touch a note in the midi editor when nothing is playing. Amaury initially thought there was no problem, but then agreed and tagged the (now hidden) thread with a bug/problem number.
whether it's a bug or not, i don't know - i'd say it was more a 'feature oversight' - but it's on their 'to do' list, so it is an isssue.

since that time I have got my shit together. now a rock will not stand a chance in my shoe for more than 3 hours at a time.
i don't understand does this mean i need to:
accept things i cant change
or
change things i cant accept?

Sorry to bump this if no one is interested but if so, is there any action on being able to lock FOLLOW to stay ON until I turn it off in the arrange view?

Wow. And I mean WOW!
This is hard for me to believe, reading through this thread, and realizing that I have the same question SEVEN YEARS LATER. What's even more amazing is that it looks to me like this was a Bug in 2009.
Did it get resolved? Is there a way yet to make Follow Stick?
Or did everyone just give up on it?

Yes. Use a current Live 9 version. If you're not using the latest then do that now. Can't say I've encountered this in any Live 9 version though.

I just did prior to posting what the OP say he did
in 2009 and it worked fine. What is it that you have a problem with?
