You're in the UK? Did esoundz add any VAT to that price? I noticed prices in euro and dollars are both 99, whereas if you buy directly from IK Multimedia, it's still $99 but only €74.99.

Then again, IK adds 20 % VAT to that for EU citizens, so that's a grand total of €90.

But if esoundz add VAT, that's €120. Ouch. Kinda makes that coupon moot if you're in the EU.

Hm, that sounds nice. Is it a download or do you get a box? I didn't figure that out at esoundz. At IK it's download only.

Here's a question to the peeps who purchased - what plugs are you NOT taking from this bundle? Just want to get an idea of what people are leaving out of this deal. I'm thinking about it as I can't seem to get a nice loud polished sound out of the Ableton plugs (this is probably more a case of lack of knowledge), and everything I've heard about TRacks has been good (an old friend of mine who has been releasing records for years uses this suite on all his finished mixes).

Any ways, just wanted to get an idea of what people are leaving out (the new vintage analogue plugs sound nice).

The price is $99 (americano  )

It is a download from Esoundz as well.... Actually, esoundz simply gives you a serial to download to begin your activation from IKmultimedia.

The benefit of Esoundz is that 1. you get their RAW loops package and 2. If you are going to buy in twice, then by creating a 2nd purchase you can use the $25 off coupon, which then makes the 2nd purchase of the IK Singles only $75.

Originally I was content with leaving out both the Classic Compressor and the Classic Multiband Limiter.

The ones I wanted the most were Vintage Tube Compressor/ Limiter Model 670, Vintage Tube Program Equalizer and the Brickwall limiter.

Most people love the Opto Compressor, because it's powerful and yet "transparent", but initially I figured I could get by with Pro-C to fill the need of a transparent compressor. Well, long story short... I ended up buying in twice once I realized I could get the second purchase from esoundz for $75, and now that it looks to be headed over 1000, I'll actually have the whole Deluxe suite.

Did you get it sorted?

If you buy in once from esoundz, then you'll have to login, go Members Area, then click on My Esoundz and then choose My Downloads to view your serial.

Ok, just so I understand this correctly, I thought if you purchased 2 singles that you would get up to 8 plugins (so you'd be missing 2 out of the Deluxe suite). Your saying above that you purchased 2 singles and now (once the number of buyers reaches 1000) you managed to get all 10 for the price of 2? Am I missing something here?

Sorry for all the questions.

You're right, that it's 8 plugs once it reaches 1000, but previously they did their millionth sale giveaway, and when that happened I downloaded free, the Classic EQ. Once they updated T-Racks 3 to allow singles versions as well, It meant that I then had both the Classic EQ and the Meter.

Thank's, and no VAT to that, I just got that confirmed from Esoundz as well. That's great for a Swede like me, €99 is a lot more than $99 over here. And no 20% VAT added, yiihaa! :D

Damn, I guess I'll simply have to go for two sets of (dare I say?) four singles. So I'm gonna have to leave out two.

My favourites are the five newer ones, especially the Pultec and Fairchild clones and the phase linear EQ.
I can live without the metering, I think it'll only make me go all paranoid and perfectionistic anyway.

Which of the 'classics' would you think is least useful, as compared to Live's native counterparts?

I'm gonna use'em both on individual tracks and for 'mastering'. I like stuff to sound "warm" and "analogue" and with a bite. Not religiously retro though.

If you're only going to get 8 of the ten, then I would think the least needed would be either the Classic EQ, Classic Limiter or the Meter.

The meter is nice to have, but nice to have for free. I believe there are other metering devices that can help out just as well and really are free.

The Classic EQ just doesn't seem to offer anything over Live's EQ8, which is still my favorite EQ.

The Classic Limiter can easily be replaced by the Brickwall Limiter, or even Live's limiter.

That's just my opinion though...

Again, I think the essentials are are all the new components, but hopefully someone else can chime in too with their thoughts. 8)

Yeah, I think you're right. I'll keep the classic EQ I think, it can be of use as a 'character' EQ, but with less character than the Pultec clone I suppose.

Just a quick update....

Here's the latest numbers:

IK: 919

Esoundz 272

Here's the esoundz link:

http://www.esoundz.com/details.php?Prod ... oupmix2009

By the way... to get the most out of the referral option, find someone who's going to buy in like you and then refer each other. If both people buy in twice, and refer each other, then you'll each end up with $20 worth of epointz (which cannot be spent on the singles).
