I have tried, but no. I can´t get to a date before todays date.
I don´t know why, I am sure I´ve made several system "safety points".

I have contacted Echo.
I´ve done a windows update.
Virusscan, regclean, defrag etc...
Mme/directX works. Asio doesn´t, if I try to open a window the sound
sort of freezes. Really glitchy...
I´ve checked all hardware, everything works,
my external HD works-I can read loads of samples with other hardware or the Mmx/directX.

It´s all in vain -everything points to the asio-driver.
It´s so strange. The asio worked perfect, in all applications,
and now it´s eating my sounds...
I am getting a nervous breakdown.
And that´s for sure.

by any chance... have you installed SP2 sometime between when it was working fine and now?

and for that matter, has any aspect of your system changed in that time? installed any new software, etc?

Oh, try uninstalling the card from the device manager, rebooting, and then reinstalling it.

Thanks for your support.
I´ve tried everything-re-installing, etc.
A game called Rayman got installed and uninstalled, but I´ve removed everything, uninstalled every silly little program I don´t use.
Rayman...God how stupid, you mustn´t let your kid into your computer..
I´ve cleaned the reg.
Scanned for viruses, spyware...Tried everything I can think of.

My Echo support advices me to format disk.....
Hello?
I have no time.
Heartfailure approaching....

maybe this rayman game brought with it a newer version of DirectX that isn't supported yet by the card?

maybe you can role back your DirectX driver?

i know some folks had issues with SP2. by default it was installing a new, albeit beta directX9 driver as well. some games werent working well, and some audio apps as well.
