Hmmm....$5000...well you could at least put down a good down payment on this $8000 volume knob.

The "volume knob" is a streamlined beauty. kinda reminds me of an old CB Radio

get a nice micpre and mic

and one synth of your choice and get to know it inside out..
from all the suggestions so far I´d go with this one. Its about getting the gear that suits you, and know it inside out.

May I add I am using Ableton as my main DAW. I do not want to go down the Pro Tools route, hence why i bought the APC 40. Altough i wish they would make an extended APC to a full table top, the 40 could suffice for travel preformance while a large tabletop version could rig the studio.

I would recommend the following list of goodies.

1-get bomes midi translator - this expands the ability's of everything midi you can imagine, it never runs out of uses.

http://www.bome.com/midi/translator/

2-get deckadance from imageline as it is the only real solution to be able to scratch samples in live, something live does not have at all natively.

http://deckadance.image-line.com/

*this does not enable scratching lives master output in a live environment though, I say/sing/scream my own quotes and phrases into the mic, then slice them into segments and load them into DD and scratch my own vocal cuts in my tracks, live does not offer this natively in any way so its a great addition to the toolset overall, it can also play mp3's in live without having to convert them into wave or aiff, which can be very handy.

if you get the deckadance software you might consider one of these scs3d's

http://www.enterthesystem.com/system/scs3d/

one of these with the apc 40 crossfader would be a great combo with Deckadance, if you like scratches in your DnB that is :D

I would also say get a second audio interface as a backup, maybe an ultralight MK3 or something, not too expensive and powerful for its price.

-whatever you do when choosing a hardware synth, dont buy a nordrack, I had one and they rock, but try this first,

http://www.discodsp.com/discovery/

I had them both side by side for a month and this a perfect as a replacement, it even opened my exported sounds from the hardware

if you could write good tunes you wouldn't need to spend more money on gear.

spend money on guitar/piano lessons. take a class on music theory and composition.
yes, or basically 'buy' yourself time to actually make and learn how to make good music and productions, your setup is already insanely good quality and all you really need, forget about the gear lust for a while and make, make, make, make.

hours spend gaining experience will get you way further then owning any fancy gear in the world.

Forget about buying new gear and focus on optimizing your studio acoustics. Make some treatment of your work space. Learn how to build acoustic absobers.Much more valuable than buying another synth...

how big is your studio space that you would need 8" monitors and a 12" sub? get the jbl 4326s first. if you're in a room of less than 200 square feet, you're going to drown your tunes in bass and or you will lower the bass so much that your final mix will have none.

+1 on the sherman filterbank 2

i'd say get Camel Phat and Camel Space, too.

and go for the Moog Little Phatty Stage 2 or Dave Smith Tetra (since you already have a midi keyboard). or skip the hardware synths and get Komplete 6. or Alchemy or Predator and Zebra.

Maschine is a great virtual drum machine.
